نعم يمكن تصغير أو تكبير الخواتم الذهبية والفضية عند الصائغ لكن العملية تعتمد على التصميم الخواتم البسيطة يسهل تعديلها الخواتم المرصعة بالأحجار قد تحتاج إلى دقة أكثر لتجنب إتلاف الأحجار بعض الخواتم مثل تلك المصنوعة من التيتانيوم لا يمكن تعديلها بسهولة.
